I intend to leave this life walking straight as an arrow.
Hell and Back is a memorial film that visually brings to life the poignant words penned by John M. Williams, disability rights activist and friend of the filmmaker, about living with Parkinson’s disease. Through interweaving photographs, footage, animation, narration and music, this film is a lyrical essay on Williams’ daily battle to live with an incurable neurodegenerative brain disorder.
